December 17 Buenos Aires

I really didn’t imagine that I’d get to visit South America let alone Buenos Aires but here we are. We’ve been staying in Palermo Hollywood, a neighbourhood in Buenos Aires. Very inner city with ‘trendy’ restaurants, cafes and clubs, rather ‘arty’ - but extremely noisy most of the night!  The partying started about 11pm and the noise didn’t abate until 3am.

The narrow streets are lined with wonderful shady trees and it a great place to wander and take in the local colour.  This stay is just a brief stop on our way to Ushuaia but we’ll be back in March for another couple of days and then we’ll tour the city more extensively BUT hopefully from a different location.
